Airflow conversion

Cubic Meters per Hour to CFM

Convert a volume-flow rate from cubic meters per hour (m3/h) to cubic feet per minute (CFM).

Created · Updated

AirflowCFM

How to use

  1. Enter a known airflow rate in m3/h.
  2. Read the equivalent value in CFM.
  3. Preserve the original air stream and rating conditions for later comparison.

Formula

CFM = m3/h ÷ 1.69901082

Example

169.90 m3/h ÷ 1.69901082 = 100 CFM.

Result interpretation

The conversion only changes units. It does not prove that two equipment ratings are comparable or that the converted flow satisfies ventilation, cooling, duct, or fan requirements.

Frequently asked questions

Can I compare equipment after converting?

Only if the air stream, measurement method, and rating conditions are otherwise equivalent.

Does m3/h include an air density correction?

No. This is a volume-flow conversion. Any density or performance correction requires the applicable engineering method and conditions.
